Teacher of Graphics

The Role
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
The Photography & Graphics department offers the following courses: A-Level Photography and A-Level Graphics Design.
The department comprises of 5 staff members including the Head of Department, 3 full time teachers and the Photography & Graphics Technician.
Our exam board is Edexcel. We currently teach Pearson Edexcel Level 3 Advanced GCE in Art and Design: Photography & Graphic Communication.
The Successful Candidate

The Photography & Graphics department is looking for an excellent classroom teacher, with a high level of communication and interpersonal skills, with a relevant degree and teaching qualification (if no teaching qualification is held must be willing to work towards this). The successful candidate should be able to display a high level of skill in the management of learning with a commitment to a student-centred approach to the learning process. You should have an awareness and understanding of current developments in the subject area, the ability to manage student progress and achievement, and have a high level of organisational and administrative skills. You should have the ability to set and achieve high standards for yourself, colleagues, and students.
You should display the values, attitudes, and behaviours consistent with the Catholic Ethos of the College and have a commitment to equality/diversity and the safeguarding of young people and vulnerable adults.
Terms and Conditions
Hours: Between full time and 0.5 fte – We will always try to accommodate the preference of the best candidate(s).
Salary: Paid on the Sixth Form College’s Salary Structure pro to £33,465 to £51,714 per annum (dependent upon experience). For an outstanding candidate the college will consider a 'golden hello' recruitment payment of up to £10,000.
